Yoga as it was intended

These are classes for every body: gender, age, race really have no bearing on your ability to practice yoga. As my teacher often said, if you can breathe, you can practice yoga. My students are diverse in every way and that is what makes it such a joy to teach! I encourage modifications and share many options in class to ensure that you feel completely comfortable throughout your practice with me. My primary focus is always your connection to your breath and your body, and to support that, my classes are:

GROUNDING - bringing you into the present moment, leaving you feeling calm and relaxed

OPENING - your body feels stretched and spacious and any aches and tightness is released.

ACCESSIBLE - we move at a gentle pace so you’re never worried about what comes next or getting it wrong. The yoga class shouldn’t be adding to your stress levels!

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Yoga for Beginners

This truly is a dedicated beginner’s class; we’ll take things slow and I’ll ensure you feel comfortable and supported throughout. We will move through asana (postures), some simple breathing exercises and as always, finish with a nourishing relaxation. When we work like this, feeling relaxed and at ease, progress will occur quite organically - it is a joy to witness! Small classes (maximum 4 students).

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is centred on holding postures for longer periods of time, completely supported by props. By using the props to support the body, the muscles are given the chance to release and relax deeply. Deeply nourishing, calming and healing. This practice gives you the time and space to rest, release and restore. Suitable for all, including complete beginners.

Yoga Foundations

A simple and gentle asana practice that is deeply relaxing for both body and mind. Suitable for all practitioners, especially beginners, or anyone who needs some R&R.

Yoga Flow

For those looking to build strength and open the body. We will work physically for about 45 minutes, leaving plenty of time for a guided-meditation or yoga-nidya style guided relaxation. Most suitable for those who have practiced yoga before.
